Touchstone Communications Provides “Women In Management” Classes

Women currently hold 20% of all managerial positions at Touchstone

ISLAMABAD , PAKISTAN - Touchstone Communications, Pakistan 's leading global call center in Islamabad , is providing classes for women in the company interested in leadership positions. The series, Women In Management (WIM), meets bi-monthly in an effort to help women succeed in positions of leadership throughout the organization. As many as 16 women attend the meetings, many of whom currently do not hold leadership positions, but aspire to one.

Farrah Karmally, Assistant General Manager at Touchstone, stated, “By offering women a chance to learn about business and about management, we are not only developing our people, we are also developing our society.” Women at Touchstone currently hold one third of Director positions and 20% of all other managerial positions. “Women are often overlooked in the corporate setting, so it's important for them to learn the tools that will help them become successful in this environment,” says Saira Siddiqui, Senior Manager of Learning and a WIM attendee. “I think all companies have a responsibility towards educating women, and I'm excited to be a part of a company that is the forerunner in this arena.”
